Disability Labour produces a number of Activist Guides for disabled people who want to get involved in the Labour Party. 

These guides also contain useful information for CLPs on how to engage with disabled members and ensure that campaigning is accessible.

There is a training PowerPoint presentation to accompany this Guide. Regional Offices or other party units wanting to deliver the training should contact us to discuss running a ‘Train the Trainer’ event.

The Equalities and Human Rights Commission publishes a useful guide to the Equalities Act for political parties.  It outlines the party’s anticipatory duty towards disabled people as well as the obligation to provide reasonable adjustment.  It can be downloaded from the EHRC website as a PDF, Word file, Easy Read PDF and Welsh Language Version PDF here
